Join us in our own orchard, under the guidance of Rick Steicke (Former owner of Gully Gardens) who will cover the basics of fruit tree pruning. This 1.5-hour workshop will provide an overview on the following:
- What is fruiting wood?
- What is a bud?
- What is a leader?
- How to shape/prune my tree
- Overview of diseases and how to treat
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is being held in our operational production nursery. Due to this we require all personas attending to wear fully enclosed footwear/boots. As the weather may be variable, please ensure you wear clothing appropriate for being outside and bring along an umbrella if it does decide to rain. As the workshop is in the orchard/chook yard, the ground is also very uneven. Due to its location and potential trip hazards, this workshop is not suitable for people with mobility issues. If registering, please ensure you are physically fit and able to walk on uneven ground and stand for the duration of the workshop.
By registering for this workshop, you are agreeing to the above statement.
